Play Silkies is proud to present its collaboration with Kalkadoon Aboriginal artist, Brooke Sutton, and introduce the ‘Wani-Wani Watina’ silk scarf.

Brooke’s interpretation of ‘Wani-Wani Watina’, which means ‘To swim side by side’ in the Kalkadoon language, is a beautiful and vibrant addition to the Play Silkies collection.

The Kalkadoon people, from the Mount Isa area in Queensland, have a strong connection to the sea. They used to travel north to the gulf country to hunt and gather food, and ‘Wani-Wani Watina’ depicts the graceful agility and beauty of the sea and the sea creatures that have learned to live together with respect.

Made from the same high-quality Mulberry silk that Play Silkies is known for, this silk scarf is a must-have for any play space. The scarf’s stunning colours and design will spark imaginative play and inspire kids to explore the world around them.

Play Silkies are the perfect toy for imaginative play, sensory exploration, and dress-up fun! Made from high-quality silk, these vibrant and silky toys are perfect for kids of all ages. Whether your child is pretending to be a superhero, a princess, or just dancing around the house, Play Silkies will add a touch of magic to their playtime.
